THIS is a virtually new combine which has just been run-in.
That's how Kadina-based Larwood Ag Services dealer spokesman Kym Flint describes the Case IH AFX 8010 his dealership has on offer this week.
"With only 925 rotor hours on the clock it is truly just run-in, is in new condition and is a harvester that will suit a new machine buyer.
"At our asking price it carries a huge saving," Mr Flint said.
"Based on the cost of the equivalent model today, the 8120, our asking price of $415,800 represents a saving of more than $200,000 on what is virtually still a new machine.
"Despite its low rotor hours, we have put the machine through our workshop and can guarantee it is in as new condition," he said.
Mr Flint said the 2006-build combine was one of the first 'revised' version of the Case IH 8010 flagship combines to be sold in the State.
"First released in 2003, the 2006 revised version of the 8010 combine features more powerful engines, improvements to the cleaning system and updated infinitely variable AFX rotor speeds between 220 and 1200 rpm to suit varying crop types and conditions.
"This machine is powered by a 10.3 litre, Tier III compliant 302kW (rated speed of 2100 rpm) Case IH 1270 turbocharged and intercooled diesel engine, is fitted with 20.8R42 dual drive wheels and is complete with a 11.8m 2152 Draper front.
"The engine features a power bulge when the engine speed drops under load, bolstering the its maximum power output to 339kW at 1950rpm.
Mr Flint said a strong feature of the Case IH AFX rotor was the impeller at its front that progressively accelerates the crop to the threshing speed.
"It also creates a vacuum that pulls both the crop and any dust into the rotor cage, helping to improve the operator's visibility in front of the heading table.
"The revised 2006 8010 combines also included a new 'X-tra Force' cleaning system.
"This is an active cleaning system that includes a grain pan, top and bottom pre-sieves and a cross-flow fan.
"It is a system that enables the combine to effectively operate on side slopes up to 15 degrees and is especially effective in reaping high-moisture and high-yielding crops.
"I expect a quick sale for this reasonably priced almost new combine," Mr Flint said.
