WITH harvest out of the way, the next task for many farmers will be controlling any summer weed growth.
Flinders Machinery, Booleroo Centre, has on offer this week a Croplands Stallion sprayer which dealer principal Barry McCallum describes as being fully-equipped and ready to go.
A 2002 built unit, it features a 4000 litre tank, is equipped with 28 metre three section hydraulic lift and fold booms and is mounted on 12.4x24 tandem tyres.
It is equipped with a MT3405 controller, a 60L Chem-e-flush hopper, a 300L flush tank and a hand wash tank.
Built around a wide rail chassis for greater strength and stability, the sprayer also has an adjustable hitch for better alignment of the tractor/sprayer drawbar heights.
This also results in less wear and tear on PTO universals and for better weight distribution.
Mr McCallum said the Stallion sprayer also featured smooth riding booms.
"The fully hydraulic booms also feature an airbag suspension which maximises boom stability, increases spraying accuracy and dramatically improves boom life," he said.
"The Stallion sprayer has a centrally located control station.
"Here all the functions of the sprayer, including the filters for filling, emptying, chemical induction, flushing and hand washing are set and controlled.
"Clearly marked, it makes for quick, easy and accessible operation".
Mr McCallum said the sprayer was ready to go and at his asking price he expected it sell quickly.
Priced at $36,000 plus GST it gets our tick for the Machine of the Week.
