Ridgway advance sets record for on-property sale

21/08/2008 4:30:00 AM
THE expectations of 9 registered buyers at last week's Ridgway Advance Merino stud annual ram auction were confirmed soon after the first call as it became one of the best on-property sales held in Australia.

Bids flew from the outset and Landmark auctioneer Malcolm Scroop knocked down the first 10 rams for the impressive average of $3615.

And when the last of the 100 rams in the main auction had been sold, Ridgway Advance had set a new South Australian on-property record average of $2130.
