Merino mania at the Crystal Brook Show

AN EXCITING shearing competition drew a big crowd of onlookers at Crystal Brook Show on Saturday, and youngsters were entertained by rides, but it was all business for Merino breeders, with the Royal Adelaide Show just around the corner.

Peter Meyer, Mulloorie stud, Brinkworth, showed the grand champion ram in the strong wool category and will take it to Dubbo Show in New South Wales next week.

A precursor to the Royal Adelaide show, Crystal Brook gave an indication of the high quality of rams on offer this season.
