A range of breeds was represented, with European breeds and crosses dominant.

Good prices were recorded across the board with both steers and heifers selling up to 15 to 20c/kg more than was seen in the liveweight prime market.

Greg Maguire, Powerhouse Pastoral Company, Nundle, was the major vendor at the sale, with 1200 EU-accredited Angus, black Simmental and Charolais-cross steers and heifers.

Powerhouse Pastoral Company sold the top pen of the day - the 308kg EU-accredited, Angus-cross steers selling for 214c/kg to Greg Upton, of Upton Pastoral Company, Walcha, NSW, to return $659/head.
