Barley growers will have begun receiving up to $340/t in advances for grain delivered into ABB's deferred pool last harvest.
Advances for harvest and select pools represent 90pc of the total estimated grower return (EGR).
ABB's managing director, Michael Iwaniw, said ABB's 2007 barley pools had again performed exceptionally well despite operating in a very difficult market.
"These are substantial grower advances, ranging from $340/t for malting 1 barley in ABB's harvest pool to $280/t for feed barley 1 in the same pool," he said.
"They demonstrate our pools have a role to play in a deregulated market and in a below-average growing season."
Mr Iwaniw said ABB would again provide competitive commercial pool options for growers for the coming harvest and full details would shortly be available.
"We've had a reasonable start to the season in most growing regions and, with good follow up rains between now and when harvesting begins in October, I think most growers can look forward to a good harvest," he said.
