Wet August likely as cold front hits

1/08/2008 4:30:00 AM
CLOSE to average rain should fall across most agricultural areas on the State in August, according to Weatherzone meteorologist Matt Pearce.

Mr Pearce said a cold front was moving across the State today (Thursday), which would bring showers to all agricultural areas, with 5 to 10 millimetres expected to fall in most regions and 10-20mm in southern districts.

Showers would persist into Friday before clearing on the weekend.
