28/09/2008 3:30:00 AM
AWB Limited has been advised that the class action filed on behalf of Mastafa and Ismail, two Iraqi widows who were bringing a claim against AWB on behalf of a class of Iraqi citizens, has been dismissed by the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.

AWB had filed a motion to dismiss this class action complaint which has been granted by the Court.

The plaintiffs have 30 days to lodge an appeal against the dismissal.

AWB has previously stated that it was of the opinion that the case was ill-conceived and that it would vigorously defend the action.
