From Thursday to Sunday Adelaide gained more than 50mm of rain, making it their wettest three-day period in three-and-a-half years.
According to WeatherZone data, this amount of rain is normally reserved for the winter months and is fairly unusual for April.
It's been 55 years since this much has fallen in three days in April.
More than 100mm has fallen on parts of the Adelaide Hills since Thursday, including Piccadilly where more than 130mm accumulated fell.
Gumeracha picked up a hefty 96mm, a two year high. For April this is the highest rainfall in 71 years.
Some recently very dry parts of the state have done fairly well too.
Meningie in the Lower Lakes area gained 44mm, their wettest three-day period in four years.
It wasn't as wet in the Mallee and Riverland where rain is desperately needed.
Mindarie only had 26mm and Loxton 19mm. But for Loxton this is still the wettest three days in two years.
Rain in the Western Agricultural area was also patchy.
Some were lucky enough to pick up 20 to 40mm such as Kimba, 30mm.
But Whyalla had less than 10mm to show from this event.
Today showers will only bring two to five millimetres to southern parts of SA.
Light showers are a chance late this week.
