SA country health plan scrapped

31/07/2008 1:15:00 PM
The South Australian Government's controversial new Country Health Care Plan will be "modified" following immense pressure for change from South Australia's rural communities.

Health Minister John Hill said the formal six-week consultation process on the Plan closed today and submissions, letters, emails and feedback about the plan would be responded to by the end of August.

"We won't impose a health care plan on country South Australians that they don't want," Mr Hill said.
