ABB Grain's long-serving managing director, Michael Iwaniw, revealed a rather "funny ambition" as he confirmed his retirement yesterday,
The Australian Financial Review reports.
"I love New York and I love Paris. But I have never been to Darwin and they say driving there is quite an experience," he said.
Iwaniw will be well equipped for the mission. As part of his termination benefit, he gets to keep two cars, a BMW and a Mitsubishi Verada.
Iwaniw, who leaves ABB on Thursday, will also get a payout of $1.56 million, which should help him fulfil his other goals of spending time with his family and travelling.
But no amount of money can guarantee his final wish: to see his beloved Adelaide Crows win the AFL premiership.
