The Australian wool market has finished the week 0.4pc higher after sales in Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle, with the EMI up 5c/kg to end the week at 855c/kg.

Any woolgrowers smiling now, have probably had rain – or more likely – they locked in higher prices earlier this year. The market, despite this week's upturn, remains at least 20pc below February prices, allowing astute growers to earn an extra 200c/kg.
