Steer calves sold to a high of $660 a head at the 50th annual blue ribbon vealer and calf sale in Braidwood, NSW, on Friday.
A total of 3109 head were yarded, of which about 2065 steer calves topped at $660, while 1044 heifer calves topped at $485.
According to agents, the quality of cattle was outstanding and met strong competition from a large panel of buyers.
